Class recommended for ages 10 and up
New to counted cross stitch? No problem! I will teach the fundamentals of cross stitching as we go through the step-by-step process of creating a small cross stitch motif. Next we will start making our adorable animal ornament. By the end of the class your crafted ornament will be complete. You will be able to go home and finish stitching up your cross stitch piece. Once the cross stitch is completed, simply attach it to your adorable and lovable animal ornament!
The class fee includes the cross stitch and craft kits for you to complete this project.
Cross stitch kit
- Hand dyed 16 count pink Aida fabric
- Size 26 tapestry needle
- Mini Embroidery Scissors
- DMC 6 strand cotton embroidery floss
- Mini bamboo embroidery hoop
- Backing fabric
- Counted cross stitch chart that includes four different motifs to choose from to stitch. Choose one motif to complete this project.
Craft Kit
- Chenille yarn
- Painted clothespin and stand
- Ruffled crepe paper
- Button
- Tinsel yarn
- Eyelash yarn
- Pre-Cut animal head. Several animal heads to choose: fawn pug, calico kitty cat, llama, donkey, horse, or a highland cow
- Feather accessory
Hot glue guns, glue, craft scissors, beads, paints, and inks will be available for finishing and to further customize your creation!
